Job description
Applied Metals Technologies, Ltd. is now hiring a Production Supervisor.

As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for:
• Planning, directing, and monitoring the work activities of several operating areas in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
• Supervising and working closely with production teams to ensure quality and productivity objectives are exceeded.
• Working with the Corporate Manager to develop new and creative ideas to improve productivity and assure achievement of established company goals and objectives.
Experience requirements
• Previous management experience in a manufacturing setting.
Qualifications
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work successfully without close supervision.
• Must be organized and able to multi-task in an accurate and timely manner.
• Solid understanding of safe work practices and OSHA.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement efficient/effective daily production planning and scheduling to ensure that customer requirements are met.
• Communicate production schedules to lead persons or production staff in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop and implement plans for the optimum use of plant facilities, equipment, purchased material, and workforce.
• Review production orders to make decisions concerning inventory and staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments while considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Consult with appropriate personnel to assure estimates and schedules provide optimum manufacturing approach and schedule.
• Strive for maximum efficiency in plant operations and support operations through creative problem solving, adaptation, and collaboration with all departments to correct problems.
• Suggest/implement process improvements to increase safety and quality while reducing costs.
• Lead the development/implementation of improvements to critical manufacturing and preventative maintenance program processes/procedures.
• Plan and schedule repairs/preventative maintenance with the maintenance department. Assist in completing repairs when required.
• Monitor activities of purchased materials to assure a continued effort to improve vendor and cost base.
• Work with the Quality Manager to maintain an understanding of product and material problems encountered, assuring appropriate corrective action is taken and sustained in plant areas.
• Assure systems/procedures are established and implemented to accurately identify, safely protect, and appropriately move raw material, work in process, and finished goods to assure maximum cost effectiveness and plant productivity.
• Supervise production and maintenance operations of plant.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Effectively communicate with subordinates, peers, and plant leadership/management.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline plant personnel. Resolve plant personnel issues.
• Motivate employees through encouragement and the setting of positive examples.
• Provide guidance related to employee development and proper training.
• Evaluate production personnel to match their abilities, skills, and knowledge to the optimal plant assignment. Monitor and take corrective action on issues relating to work performance at assigned jobs or tasks.
• Coordinate personnel to most effectively work together, especially during times when multiple issues are occurring simultaneously.
• Optimize productivity and labor efficiency by organizing the workforce and setting staffing levels.
• Establish, monitor, and review individual and team performance.
• Assist in the company’s philosophy to empower employees to be productively involved in process improvements and meeting company objectives for high quality and customer satisfaction.
• Assist and assure the implementation and conformance to the ISO 9001/2015 program.

Work hours
• 6am-2:30pm.
