Job description
Applied Metals Technologies is now hiring a Maintenance Technician.

As a Maintenance Technician you will perform preventative maintenance and repair on equipment and building as needed for optimal performance. You will follow all company safety procedures while performing these duties.
Education requirements
• Degree from technical school or equivalent experience in related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Must be safety conscious about the work environment and equipment.
• Implement and execute preventive maintenance program, including cleaning and greasing of equipment, replacing motors and belts, and installing power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
• Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
• Connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Test, diagnose, and fix malfunctioning equipment, including transformers, motors, gearing, valves, and light fixtures.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines, including relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices.
• Replace electric motor bearings.
• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Provide overall building maintenance, including roof inspection and light repairs, plumbing repairs, painting projects, etc.
• Ensure the work area is free of debris to prevent trip and slip hazards; all products and equipment are stored in their proper location; all safety guards and other safety devices are in their proper location, are functional, and utilized effectively on a consistent basis; standard operating procedures, safety work rules and good general manufacturing practices are followed on a daily basis.
• Resolve difficult or complicated challenges.
• Ability to remain in an upright position and move about the facility.
• Ability to use hands to carry, manipulate, and feel;
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to operate and repair machines, including underneath and above the machine.
• Ability to balance.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other individuals in the facility.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to carry and load different parts and tools required to perform the job.
• Ability to detect mechanical issues and part defects from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, with clarity and good effect.
• Ability to be trusted or relied upon to act in the way required or expected.
• Good time management skills.

While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. You will occasionally be exposed to chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
